YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Make your own way to Glasgow and embark MV Lord of the Glens moored in the heart of the city. Enjoy the Captains welcome reception and dinner this evening. Highland Cruise Enjoy a delightful cruise along the sheltered waters of the Caledonian Canal from Inverness on Scotlands east coast to Fort William on the west. Meander across the rugged Great Glen through natural and man-made waterways including beautiful Loch Dochfour, Loch Ness, Loch Oich and Loch Lochy. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Make your own way to Inverness and embark MV Lord of the Glens moored at Muir Town Locks. Enjoy the Captains welcome reception and dinner this evening. DAY 2 - A morning drive to Aviemore for a scenic trip on the Highland Cairngorm funicular railway. This afternoon set sail for the picturesque town of Fort Augustus via Loch Dochfour and Loch Ness, pausing for a photo opportunity in front of Urquhart Castle and maybe a glimpse of the monster! DAY 3 - Walk around the Loch Ness visitor centre, before your voyage continues through a series of six inter-connected locks that run through the centre of Fort Augustus and along man-made sections of the canal, via beautiful Loch Oich and Loch Lochy to the small town of Banavie at the foot of Ben Nevis. DAY 4 - Visit the hauntingly beautiful Glencoe, with a stop en route at the Fort William Whiskey Distillery and perhaps take a dram. After lunch, the ship descends via Neptunes Staircase, a series of eight inter-connected locks, to sea level at Corpach, the port for Fort William. Enjoy the Captains farewell reception and dinner this evening. DAY 5 - Disembark after breakfast. Included transfers to Inverness Airport and Railway Station, then make your own way home. Go ashore by tender for the short drive to Loch Lomond and a scenic cruise. Return to the ship and cruise around the Kyle of Bute to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. DAY 3 - A morning visit to Mount Stuart House and Gardens and an afternoon cruise to West Loch Tarbet on the Mull of Kintyre, followed by a visit to Crarae Gardens, famous for its rhododendrons, and Inveraray Castle, the ancestral home of the Dukes of Argyll. DAY 4 - Sail up Loch Fyne and over to the Isle of Arran to explore Broderick Castle and Gardens, idyllically set on the east coast, before visiting the whisky distillery at Lochranza. DAY 5 - Early morning cruise back to Glasgow. Disembark after breakfast and make your way home.
